RDoC’s liaisons represent their fellow resident doctors at over 80 committees run by our national partner organizations. These volunteers are key to bringing the resident perspective to these tables and for advocating on behalf of all resident doctors in Canada.

Association of Faculties of Medicine in Canada (AFMC)

The AFMC represents Canada’s 17 faculties of medicine and is the national voice of academic medicine.

Canadian Association of Internal Medicine Program Directors (CAIMPD)

CAIMPD is a nationwide group of Internal Medicine Program Directors who advocate on issues pertinent to all Internal Medicine residents.

Canadian Association for Medical Education (CAME)

CAME is a grassroots organization created for medical educators, by medical educators.

Canadian Post-M.D. Education Registry (CAPER)

CAPER is the central repository for statistical information on postgraduate medical in Canada.

Canadian Resident Matching Service (CaRMS)

CaRMS provides an application and matching service for entry into postgraduate medical training throughout Canada.

Canadian Federation of Medical Students (CFMS)

CFMS is a national organization that represents over 8,000 medical students attending 14 Canadian medical schools.

College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC)

The CFPC establishes standards for the training, certification, and lifelong education of family physicians and for advocating on their behalf.

Canadian Medical Association (CMA)

The CMA is the national voice of the medical profession.

Canadian Medical Forum (CMF)

The Canadian Medical Forum brings together leaders of Canada’s major national medical organizations to discuss issues of priority to physicians, their patients, and the Canadian health care system.

Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA)

The CMPA is a mutual defense organization for physicians who practice in Canada.

Federation of Medical Regulatory Authorities of Canada (FMRAC)

FMRAC is a national association of provincial and territorial medical regulatory authorities.

Medical Council of Canada (MCC)

The MCC is responsible for promoting a uniform standard of qualification to practice medicine for all physicians across Canada.

The Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada

The Royal College is a national, professional association established in 1929 by a special Act of Parliament to oversee postgraduate medical education.

Society of Rural Physicians of Canada

SRPC provides leadership for rural physicians and promotes sustainable conditions and equitable health care for rural communities.
