The AFMC represents Canada’s 17 faculties of medicine and is the voice of academic medicine in this country. The AFMC is engaged in advocacy activities related to all facets of academic medicine. AFMC works to represent and support the mandates of Canada’s medical faculties on research, medical education, and clinical care with social accountability. Advocacy initiatives are tailored to keeping these issues high on the federal government’s agenda and ensure that Canada’s faculties of medicine serve as important resources to decision-makers in this country.
