Resident Volunteers

Each year RDoC recruits, trains and supports resident volunteers who represent the national voice and lived experience of residents in national discussions that impact the medical education experience.
Their value and dedication to this work in service to their colleagues and the residents who will follow in their footsteps can not be overstated.
Resident volunteers serve as advocates for change on committees and working groups of national partners. They serve as resident surveyors as members of CanRAC, the national team responsible for institutional and program accreditation. They serve as accreditation workshop presenters, providing residents with much-needed support in their involvement in accreditation. They also serve as presenters of RDoC’s Optimal Self Workshop, equipping residents with the skills and knowledge they need to navigate their way through the challenges associated with their medical education training.
While each role is unique, every RDoC volunteer is working tirelessly for their resident colleagues across the country through their active involvement in national discussions and by promoting RDoC’s mission to champion healthier ways to learn and work. Together we will drive positive system change and create the medical culture we want.
