Ava is an Anesthesiology resident at the University of Saskatchewan and the incoming President of Resident Doctors of Saskatchewan (RDoS), having previously served as Vice President and the Perioperative Board Member. Her advocacy experience extends beyond residency, including three years with the Government Affairs and Advocacy Committee and work as a founding member of the CFMS Political Advocacy Training Program. Through these roles, she has helped advance initiatives related to crisis response, harm reduction, and advocacy education for medical learners. As Saskatchewan’s resident representative with Resident Doctors of Canada, Ava is committed to bringing resident voices forward, strengthening communication between provincial and national organizations, and advocating for resident-first priorities. Outside of medicine, she enjoys spending time with her dog, listening to a funny podcast, and trying new restaurants.
