Francisca is a PGY-2 Family Medicine resident at Dalhousie University, completing her training at the Halifax site. She is passionate about shaping a medical education system that allows trainees from all walks of life to feel safe, supported, and valued. She currently serves as the Promoting Leadership in health for African Nova Scotians (PLANS) Representative on the Maritime Resident Doctors Board of Directors, championing resident wellness and ensuring that the perspectives of Black residents are represented. She looks forward to working with stakeholders across the country to continue the important work of creating a healthy learning environment for all.
