Inspiring the System with Vision
Overview

Everything we do is driven by the lived experience of a diversity of residents. RDoC collects, synthesizes and expresses the resident lived experience to inspire a vision of a healthier approach.
Gathering and documenting lived experiences requires a safe space for sharing, where individuals feel empowered to speak their truth.
Written in their own words, read a small sample of lived experiences that are shared with RDoC and inform our work.
It is critical that the lived experiences of Indigenous, Black and equity deserving residents are incorporated into RDoC’s work and that they feel that their voices are effectively represented by the national voice of Canada’s resident doctors.
Outside of RDoC’s efforts to seek out resident lived experiences we also deeply value and draw from the expertise, research and experiences of our colleagues in medical education. The following are recommended external resources that have informed RDoC’s work:
