A key part of RDoC’s mandate is to “serve as the unified voice of Canadian resident doctors.” In the pursuit of this mandate, we strive to:

  • Be the go-to organization for the Canadian resident perspective on medical education
  • Cultivate continuous meaningful dialogue with our members and the Provincial Housestaff Organizations
  • Seek to partner and collaborate with stakeholders as the national leader on resident issues
  • Ensure our Board members, Committee members, Project Team members, and liaison representatives are effective advocates for their colleagues

Committee members can be Board members or general RDoC members, depending on the terms of reference.

RDoC Project Teams focus on ongoing or new areas of focus important to Canada’s residents as identified by the RDoC Board.

RDoC’s liaisons represent their fellow resident doctors at over 80 committees run by our national stakeholders.
