Dear Colleagues,
It is with pleasure that I introduce you to Leslie Cuthbertson, the new Executive Director of Resident Doctors of Canada. Leslie has over 35 years of experience in non-profit organizational management and research consulting. She also holds an MBA in community economic development, with a specialty in strategic management. In joining RDoC, she is leaving her current position as Chief Operating Officer at Actua, a national Canadian charity that advocates, delivers, and supports STEM education for diverse youth populations across Canada, and supports career development among undergraduate students in STEM studies.
Leslie is a team builder and skilled at motivating staff and volunteers to build and deliver on ambitious strategic plans with measurable outcomes. She has a strong personal connection to the medical field and great admiration and respect for the incredible value that all healthcare workers bring to Canada’s healthcare system. I am highly confident that she will continue to help RDoC to grow exponentially, and in turn truly, positively influence the lives and education of resident doctors across Canada.
I would also like to take this opportunity to express our sincere thanks and appreciation for the work that Dr. Robert Conn has exemplified during his time as Interim Executive Director of RDoC. He has shown admirable commitment and dedication for the organization, resulting in progressive outcomes for residents across Canada during these difficult times. I am happy to announce that he will continue to work with Leslie and RDoC for the next several months to ensure a smooth transition.
I am extremely excited for the future of RDoC and its members.
Warm Regards,
Esther Kim, MD
President
