GLOBAL HEALTH

Global Health refers to the health of populations in the global context. Once considered on the fringe of academic medicine, the Global Health field now sees an increasing number of medical learners pursuing research and clinical elective placements in this field.

RDoC’S Role

RDoC has explicitly defined the scope of Global Health as involving the care of marginalized communities both domestically and internationally.

At the international level, RDoC works with the Junior Doctors Network (JDN), under the umbrella of the World Medical Association (WMA). As one of the founding members, RDoC collaborates with overseas counterparts to advocate for safe working conditions, ethical migration of health professionals, comprehensive fatigue risk management plans, and quality medical education.
